16" Djembe Drum Planter

Previously loved, handmade, solid wood 16" djembe drum upcycled into a stunning planter.
The name of the djembe comes from the saying "Anke djé, anke bé" which translates to "everyone gather together in peace" and defines the drum's purpose.
A ¾” solid wood barrier has been installed and the interior has been sealed with an eco-friendly rubber sealant, making it waterproof and suitable for plants. Can be used outside, however not recommended to leave out in inclement weather.
Hand stained in a gorgeous dark green stain, and sealed with numerous coats of shellac on the exterior.
Dimensions are 16” H, 7”W and can accommodate up to a 8” pot inside or can be filled with soil and a plant of your choice.
Each drum planter is handmade, unique, and one of a kind. We strive to upcycle all drum designs to be near perfect condition, so that any visible marks are eliminated, however there may be the odd small blemish, colour variation or mark in the wood grain or on the drum hardware, which adds to the character of the piece.
